Getting started

Install

Get the newest build for your computer on the downloads page.

• macOS: unzip, drag Ravena.app to Applications, then run xattr -cr /Applications/Ravena.app in Terminal.
• Windows: run the .exe. If SmartScreen stops it, click More info, then Run anyway.
• Linux: run chmod +x on the file, then run it.

Make a hero

1. Make an account on the title screen.
2. Pick a race: Human or Orc.
3. Pick a gender and a hair color.
4. Pick a class. See Classes.
5. Take the name you are given, or type your own.

Your first hour

1. You wake in Greenhollow. People with a mark over their head have work for you.
2. Talk to Garrick the blacksmith about the West Road.
3. Kill the goblins near the village. Loot them with G.
4. Sell what you do not need to Mira or Garrick. Right click sells one, shift and right click sells the stack.
5. Take the day's three kill bounties in town.
6. Sit to rest and heal between fights.

Going home

Sit down, then hold G for ten seconds. A column of light rises around you and takes you back to Greenhollow. Standing up, letting go, a hit or death stops it.

Death

When a foe kills you, you lose a tenth of the experience your level needs. You never lose a level. A defeat by another hero in PvP costs nothing.

Settings

Settings has a Brightness choice for dark screens: Normal, A little brighter, Brighter and Brightest.
